Hope's Bake Shop

About Us

Hope grew up in Redland, outside of Oregon City, where her mom taught her how to bake everything from scratch.  Baking turned out to be therapy as well as an enjoyment of giving to others.  Her mom also taught her how to decorate and build wedding cakes, which became the base of her money-making hobby.   In time this hobby built to a point that she and her husband decided to go ahead and declare it an official business and things really took off, branching into other areas such as pastry and dessert catering as well as a restaurant line of 3" cheesecakes.  Two years as a vendor in the Fairview Farmer's Market taught her a lot about production and gave her the ability to try new things on a large group of people, gaining feedback and suggestions.  Hope has been able to give back to the community by giving products to her church, her sons' Boy Scout groups and teaching youth the art of baking, including co-teaching the cullinary class at Springwater Trail High School.

Hope and her husband, Larry, have three sons and currently reside in Gresham, OR.
